UNDP Project: Samoa #3

UNDPプロジェクト:サモア #3 - Ocean Leather

Hello everyone!

We will update the Samoa log again this time.

[Samoa's fish market]

To find out what kind of fish can be caught in Samoa, I headed to the ``fish market'' that opens at 5 a.m. There was fish caught in Samoa, people gathered here, and a lively atmosphere. As some of you may have noticed when looking at the photos, there were several fish that are familiar to Japan. (I think there were especially many fish from Kochi and Okinawa.)

When I asked the locals, they told me that the most commonly caught fish are yellowfin tuna and albacore tuna. Therefore, for this project, we decided to make fish leather using tuna as the main ingredient. I will share the process of making it in a later post.

I hope that this project post will be an opportunity for everyone to learn more about Samoa and the fish leather business.

I don't post very often, but I hope you look forward to posting until the end of the Samoa Project.
